Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Hits a New Record High
Following the most recent recalculation, the difficulty of mining the primary cryptocurrency increased by 5.79%. This set a new historical high of 83.95 T.
During the previous period, the average hashrate was 600.72 EH/s, with a time range between blocks of 9 minutes and 27 seconds.
As of March 11, the seven-day moving average had reached 629.44 EH/s, but as of writing, it has dropped to 626 EH/s.
According to the Hashrate Index, the current hash price is $0.11316 per TH.
In February, miners consumed a record 19.6 GW of electricity, and their reserves fell to levels seen in July 2021.
