Deutsche Börse Group, a stock exchange operator based in Frankfurt, has recently launched a platform called Deutsche Börse Digital Exchange (DBDX) for spot trading, settlement, and custody of crypto assets specifically designed for institutional clients.

The platform offers easy access to trading products for cryptocurrencies, reducing the need to manage multiple points of access.

According to Carlo Kölzer, Head of FX & Digital Assets at Deutsche Börse, the platform aims to provide a safe and transparent market for crypto assets, aligning with the company’s long-term strategy to play a leading role in the digitalization of asset classes by 2026.

This development is part of Deutsche Börse’s ‘Horizon 2026’ strategy, introduced in November 2023, which outlines its plans to expand its involvement in the digitalization of asset classes and corresponding trading and settlement platforms.
