Thailand’s SEC Charges Former Zipmex CEO
The Thai SEC has charged Akalarp Yimwilai, who was the former CEO of Zipmex, with fraud for misleading customers about the use of their digital assets.
According to the SEC, Akalarp made false statements about assets in user Z Wallets being transferred to crypto wallets abroad while he was CEO of Zipmex Thailand.
The SEC has accused Akalarp of corruption and deception for concealing this information from customers, and has referred the case to the Office of the Provincial Crime Suppression Division for possible legal action.
Similar allegations of fraud have also been made against Zipmex Thailand.
