Fox Corporation to Launch a Blockchain Media Platform Together with Polygon Labs
Fox Corporation, a leading media company known for managing well-known brands such as Fox News, Fox Sports, and Tubi Media Group, recently unveiled a new platform called Verify, which utilizes blockchain technology.
Through Verify, Fox Corporation will be able to negotiate content licensing deals with artificial intelligence (AI) companies to ensure proper usage of its intellectual property.
Additionally, the platform will track this content by creating a unique cryptographic signature for each piece of media in a database. To launch Verify, Fox Corporation partnered with software development firm Polygon Labs.
In a social media post, Polygon Labs stated:
“As the use of AI tools and AI-generated media increases, distinguishing between fact and fiction becomes more challenging. That’s why proving the authenticity and origin of content is crucial, and that’s where Verify, powered by Fox Corporation on Polygon PoS, comes in.”
The public beta version of Verify was launched on January 8 and allows any media company to register their content, from articles to audio and images, and grant usage rights to AI platforms.
