New Binance CEO Assures the Platform Will Not Be Affected by Recent Events

As per his agreement with American law enforcement agencies, Changpeng Zhao has stepped down from his role as CEO of Binance.

This comes after accepting charges of fraud and manipulation, prohibiting him from further involvement in the company’s activities.

Richard Teng has taken over as the new CEO, assuring that Binance is not facing any financial troubles and is functioning normally.

Teng has also confirmed that the exchange will pay $4.3 billion to the US government, securing its ability to continue operating.

Teng has outlined the key principles guiding his team’s work, including the assurance of secure funds for users. He also stated that Binance will not shy away from cooperating with regulators and will adhere to industry standards and consumer protection laws.

Further, Binance will continue its presence in the Web3 industry and actively participate in virtual reality projects.
