India Calls on G20 to Develop a Regulatory Framework for Crypto Market
Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, has once again called on G20 countries to impose the most stringent controls on the digital currency market in order to create global crypto regulation standards.
He believes that these standards should be based on transparency and security criteria outlined by the International Monetary Fund, Financial Action Task Force (FATF), and Financial Stability Board (FSB).
In February, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Indian Minister of Finance, urged G20 members to adopt a framework for states that aim to legalize digital assets.
Modi also talked about the advantages of switching to blockchain technology during a discussion with reporters.
