SafeMoon Agrees with Hacker to Return 80% of Funds
The hacker who stole around $9 million from the SafeMoon liquidity pool on BNB Chain has agreed to return 80% of the withdrawn funds in order to avoid prosecution.
The exchange team has announced the agreement reached with the hacker in the transaction signature from the deployment address.
They have stated that it was in the best interests of both SafeMoon and the community to accept the 80% refund and not to file any legal action.
After the incident, the hacker expressed regret and claimed the attack was accidental. On April 11, the SafeMoon team reported that they were still working on a refund.
