Aptos Plans to Give $20M to Web3 Artists
The Aptos Foundation is offering a $20 million grant to Web3 artists as part of a campaign to attract new members to the blockchain network.
Those interested in the program can sign up for the Aptos Foundation website. Project representatives stated that the fund will provide not just financial support, but “access to the infrastructure” needed for “maximum interaction” with the ecosystem.
Prior to this, the company had already allocated $3 million to a similar initiative. Aptos is a blockchain platform based on the AptosBFT consensus algorithm and the proprietary Move programming language.
It was founded by former employees of Diem, a Meta Corporation chain that closed in early 2022. The value of the native Aptos token (APT) saw a 416% increase in January 2023, as part of the market revival.
