Developers Launch zkSync Era Alpha on ETH’s Blockchain
The Matter Labs team has officially launched their alpha L2 scaling solution, zkSync Era, on the Ethereum mainnet.
The protocol is currently open to all users to link their wallets and make transactions. Developers predict that anywhere between 32 to 50 projects will be integrated into the network, including Balancer, Pyth Network, Mute, Redstone, Graph and Argent, Banxa, Yearn Finance, Celer, Chainlink, Aragon, Woo Network and Tracer DAO.
Anthony Rose, head of development of Matter Labs, has said this is only an alpha version and there is still much engineering work to be done before the full launch of zkSync Era.
To ensure the security of the protocol, the company invested $3.8 million in several smart contract audits and rewards for white hat hackers.
