Bakkt Will Shut Down its Consumer-focused Business

Bakkt will terminate the application for retail investors on March 16. Users will be able to take advantage of the new web interface using the Apex Crypto platform, which was acquired in November.
Apex Crypto is an integrated crypto trading service that provides transaction execution, clearing, custody and tax services. The framework supports over 30 digital assets.
Bakkt will focus on providing B2B2C crypto and loyalty services to companies through SaaS and API solutions.
The company CEO Gavin Michael has commented:
“The discontinuation of the application will support relationships with partners and customers with their consumers.”
Bakkt signed a definitive agreement in November 2022 to acquire Apex Crypto from Apex Fintech Solutions.
