North Korean Hackers Steal More Than 1,000 NFTs
A massive phishing campaign carried out by hackers linked to the North Korean gang Lazarus led to the theft of 1,055 NFTs.
According to SlowMist experts, the attackers created about 500 domains, posing as the well-known marketplaces OpenSea, X2Y2 and Rarible, as well as a site dedicated to the World Cup. On them, users were offered a fake issue of coins, which in fact gave the scammers access to the victim’s wallet.
The second scheme involved storing data about visitors on external sites for a subsequent attack on connected wallets and confidential information provided.
According to SlowMist, one of the phishing addresses received 1,055 NFTs worth 300 ETH.
