FTX Opens Access to Traditional Stock Trading to US Users
The US division of crypto exchange FTX has opened access to classic stocks trading to a limited number of clients, the company CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has said. According to him:
“A small subset of customers who have signed up on the waitlist will get access to stock trading today to test the feature. We plan to expand the service to the entire platform over the next month.”
Bankman-Fried has noted the company does not charge a commission for transactions with stocks and does not use the practice of “order flow payment.” According to him, at the initial stage, the exchange will not receive income from the new service.
FTX.US President Brett Harrison has said that in the future, the platform will be able to make transactions with derivatives like futures.
