Number of Employees Receiving Salaries in BTC Increased by 10% Last Year
According to a study conducted by recruitment company Deel, there has been a significant increase in the number of people who receive their salaries in cryptocurrencies.
Per the results of the survey, the share of such employees increased last year by about 10%. In addition, the researchers of the company have noted that more and more ordinary employees of companies are receiving either part or their full salary in cryptos.
The study has shown that about 52% of Latin American contract holders receive all or part of their salary in cryptos, a percentage that drops to 34% in the case of employees from Africa and the Middle East, and to 7% in the case of employees from the North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
The study has analyzed more than 100,000 contracts offered to workers living in 150 countries from Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The employee’s preferred crypto is Bitcoin, as shown in 63% of the contracts.
