Japanese Firm Metaplanet Buys Almost 620 BTC
Metaplanet, a Japanese subsidiary of MicroStrategy, has announced that it has purchased an additional 617 BTC at a price of $95,000 per Bitcoin on Monday. This adds to the company’s impressive fourth quarter Bitcoin yield of 309%.
However, despite this positive news, the company’s stock price has not seen a significant rebound today, possibly due to current low market sentiment.
In a separate announcement, the company also revealed that it has acquired 619.70 Bitcoin for approximately $60.7 million, at an average price of $95,000 per Bitcoin.
This latest investment has contributed to the company’s quarterly Bitcoin yield of 309.8%. Additionally, with BTC reaching an all-time high of $108,000 this quarter, the company’s BTC yield has increased significantly from the previous quarter’s 41.7%.
Currently, Metaplanet holds a total of 1,761.98 BTC, which was acquired for around $20.87 billion. This is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to increase its BTC holdings.
