Gemini Starts Operating in France
Gemini announced on Tuesday that it will be launching in France. This expansion into the European market is part of a broader trend in which many crypto companies are establishing a presence in the EU as the region’s regulatory landscape evolves.
Gemini registered as a virtual asset service provider in France earlier this year. The company, which currently operates in more than 70 countries, sees this move as a strategic one due to France’s proactive support of the crypto industry.
According to Gillian Lynch, the CEO of Gemini U.K. and Europe, the company’s research shows an increasing interest in digital assets in France. Additionally, the robust regulatory framework in the country presents a unique opportunity for Gemini to introduce their platform to the trading community and expand their presence in Europe.
In contrast, some crypto exchanges, including Gemini, have pulled out of the Canadian market due to the country’s tightening crypto regulations.
