NYSE Intends to List Grayscale’s Crypto Index ETF
NYSE Arca has requested permission from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list a Grayscale exchange-traded fund (ETF) that would provide institutional investors access to a diverse selection of cryptocurrencies.
This filing represents a significant effort to broaden the accessibility of digital assets to traditional investors. The proposed ETF, called the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund, was originally created in 2018 as a cryptocurrency index portfolio.
It includes well-known cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, as well as other alternative coins. This announcement comes after the company’s recent filing on October 16 to convert the fund into an ETF.
Once approved, the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund ETF will allow investors to gain exposure to a mix of digital assets, positioning itself as a more comprehensive alternative to ETFs that focus solely on Bitcoin or Ether.
