Bitwise Files Updated XRP ETF Application
An application for a Bitwise XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) has been submitted on the State of Delaware’s Division of Corporations website.
The Bitwise XRP ETF was officially incorporated on September 30th, 2024, with the registered agent being listed as CSC Delaware Trust Company, located in Wilmington, Delaware.
However, the filing in Delaware does not immediately indicate a registration application with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the near future.
This could just be one of the early stages of preparation and the formal filing with the SEC may still be months away.
The timing of this application comes after Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, hinted at a potential XRP ETF, stating that it was “inevitable” following the launch of ETFs for Bitcoin and Ether in the US.
