Transaction Count on ETH Network Falls to Lowest in 5 Months
Activity on the Ethereum network has recently slowed down. In fact, the average number of daily transactions has dropped to the lowest it’s been in the past five months, reaching 1.12 million.
This decline in activity is also reflected in the number of active wallet addresses, which has decreased to approximately 400,000. At first glance, it may seem like Ethereum’s bustling activity has suddenly transformed into a quiet and less active community.
However, this is not necessarily a cause for concern as Layer 2 solutions are making up for the decrease in Layer 1 activity and even surpassing it.
Therefore, while the main Ethereum chain may be taking a breather, the overall ecosystem is still thriving.
