Metaplanet Acquires $1.2M in Bitcoin

Japanese investment company Metaplanet Inc. experienced a significant increase in its stock price by 21% during morning trading on Monday. This came after the company announced that it had bought more Bitcoin.
According to their disclosure, Metaplanet purchased an additional 20.381 Bitcoins, equivalent to around 200 million yen (approximately $1.27 million). This brings their total Bitcoin holdings to 245.992 BTC.
The company also shared that this latest purchase concludes their initial plan of buying 1 billion yen worth of Bitcoin, as announced on June 24.
As a result of this news, Metaplanet’s stock experienced a jump of 21% in the morning session, as reported by Google Finance.
