Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV) has formally approved regulations for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).

The CNV has sanctioned Resolution No. 1058, setting regulatory guidelines for VASPs.

These regulations encompass requirements for registration, cybersecurity, asset custody, anti-money laundering measures, and risk disclosure.

CNV emphasized that these rules aim to ensure transparency, stability, and user protection within the virtual asset industry.

Argentina began strengthening crypto regulations in 2023 when the CNV introduced registration requirements and applied securities laws to crypto issuers.
