Coinbase to Reenter Indian Market

Coinbase is actively working towards re-entering the Indian market after halting operations over a year ago, according to a report by TechCrunch on Thursday, which cited sources familiar with the situation.
The company is in discussions with Indian authorities, including the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), to obtain the necessary approvals for its return.
“Coinbase is thrilled by the opportunities in the Indian market and plans to comply with relevant regulatory requirements,” a company spokesperson stated in an email to Reuters.
However, the cryptocurrency exchange platform noted that there are currently no announcements regarding FIU registration.
