Bloomberg Analysts: Litecoin ETF Approval Likely in 2025
Bloomberg’s top analysts for ETFs predict that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is highly likely to approve a spot Litecoin ETF.
James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas give a 90% chance of approval, surpassing other cryptocurrencies such as XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin, with odds of 65%, 70%, and 75% respectively.
Seyffart explains that Litecoin’s regulatory filings and status as a commodity make its path to approval less complicated. But the potential for a crypto ETF goes beyond Litecoin.
Seyffart and Balchunas point out the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs, which have received net inflows of $40.7 billion and $3.18 billion, according to Farside Investors.
While Litecoin may not see the same level of demand, it still holds promise. “Even a modest $50 million can be significant for fund companies,” Seyffart notes.
