Coinbase Obtains Crypto Registration in UK
After successfully securing a spot on the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) register, Coinbase has become the largest of its kind to operate in the UK.
This achievement enables Coinbase to offer a wide range of crypto services within the country for the first time.
According to the UK CEO of Coinbase, Keith Grose, this opportunity allows for the launch of new products and services, and has been the result of a six-month process.
Only a small percentage of applicants have been able to obtain a spot on the register, making this a notable achievement for Coinbase.
Despite already having a presence in the UK through its subsidiary CB Payments Ltd., which offered e-money services, Coinbase can now directly provide both crypto and cash services to investors and traders in the UK.
