According to data from Arkham Intelligence, a wallet associated with the now-defunct Mt. Gox exchange recently sent 2,500 Bitcoin, worth $222 million, to an unidentified address beginning with “1PQZw2,” within the last half hour.

This transaction coincided with a significant rise in Bitcoin’s value, as recorded by CoinGecko. Currently, there is still about 44,378 BTC, worth approximately $3 billion, held in Mt. Gox’s inactive wallets.

This transfer is the latest in a series of large movements by the exchange, with the previous one happening on November 5 when 32,371 BTC, worth around $2.2 billion, was moved to an unknown address.

These transactions have drawn attention as Mt. Gox has yet to fully resolve compensation claims from its former users. The deadline for complete payouts has been extended.
