Lending Protocol Delta Prime Suffers New Hacker Attack

According to several crypto security and research firms, Delta Prime, a borrow and lending platform based on blockchain technology, has been hacked for the second time in two months.

The estimated loss from this most recent attack is approximately $5 million, with the exploit occurring on both Layer 1 blockchain Avalanche and Ethereum scaling platform Arbitrum.

This news comes shortly after Delta Prime was attacked in mid-September, resulting in losses of approximately $6 million. In that attack, one of the protocol’s administrators lost access to their private keys, affecting only Delta’s deployment on Arbitrum.

On Monday, Delta Prime announced on its website that the platform was currently paused due to an attack on its Saving pools, with a link to its Discord for updates.

The firm further stated that with the protocol paused on both chains, the risk is contained.
