Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Hits New Record Level
The mining difficulty for BTC has reached a record high of 101.65T, representing a significant increase of 14.98% in the past month.
Furthermore, the difficulty has risen by 6.24% in the past week and 12.11% over the last 90 days. Mining difficulty refers to the level of challenge miners face in solving the cryptographic puzzle required to add the next block to the blockchain.
This parameter adjusts every two weeks to ensure a consistent rate of block generation and is measured by the average number of mathematical calculations, or hashes, needed to find a valid solution.
Recently, the global hash rate for Bitcoin also reached an all-time high of 945.07 EH/s (ExaHash per second). While this number has since decreased to 732.35 EH/s, it still represents a significant 6.32% increase in the last 30 days.
