Online Casino MetaWin Loses $4M in Hacker Attack

On November 3, MetaWin, an online casino platform, was targeted by an exploit resulting in a loss of around $4 million.
CEO Skel reported that the attacker was able to hack the platform’s hot wallets through its frictionless withdrawal system, leading to a suspension of withdrawals.
While 95% of customers can now withdraw funds, it was also discovered that the hacker transferred the stolen funds to KuCoin and HitBTC.
An investigation by ZackXBT revealed more than 115 addresses connected to the attacker. The motive and identity of the hacker remain unknown at this time. Cointelegraph reached out to MetaWin for comment but did not receive a response prior to publication.
