Franklin Templeton Deploys its Onchain Money Market Fund on Aptos Network
Franklin Templeton, a leading global asset management company, has recently launched its OnChain US Government Money Fund (FOBXX) on Aptos, a fifth blockchain network, in collaboration with the Aptos Foundation.
With the joint efforts of Franklin Templeton and Aptos Foundation, institutional investors now have the opportunity to access the underlying FOBXX asset through digital wallets on Franklin Templeton’s blockchain-enabled Benji Investments platform and the BENJI token. Upon request, investors can also hold their wallets on the Aptos network.
The partnership aims to improve the interoperability of tangible assets and treasury-backed assets on non-EVM blockchain networks.
Bashar Lazaar, Head of Grants and Ecosystem at Aptos Foundation, emphasized the importance of connecting traditional finance and decentralized finance, as well as different types of blockchain networks, in order to drive the industry forward.
He expressed excitement for the integration of Benji Investments with the Aptos Network and welcomed them to the Aptos ecosystem.
