Kraken Buys Netherlands-based Broker BCM
Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has recently made a strategic acquisition to support its expansion in Europe.
The company has acquired Coin Meester (BCM), one of the oldest registered crypto broker firms in the Netherlands.
This acquisition allows Kraken to expand its reach and business in the Netherlands, France, and Poland, as it has now gained a registered virtual asset service provider license in these countries.
According to Brian Grahan, the managing director for Europe, this acquisition is a significant milestone for Kraken’s European expansion efforts, as they are one of the few companies in Europe that can offer a compliant and premium trading experience for their clients.
Grahan believes that this will further empower their clients to fully utilize the potential of cryptocurrency.
