DeFi Platform Delta Prime Loses $6M Following Hacker Attack
In the latest cyberattack involving cryptocurrency, the decentralized finance platform Delta Prime was hacked for a total of $6 million in digital currency.
The first loss was estimated at $4.5 million, as reported by onchain security platform Cyvers on September 16.
However, further suspicious transactions have caused the amount stolen from Delta Prime to rise to $6 million, according to Fuzzland co-founder Chaofan Shou on the same day.
This comes shortly after another major incident in the crypto world, where a hacker stole over $230 million from Indian exchange WazirX in August, making it the second-largest cryptocurrency hack of 2021 thus far.
The ongoing investigation into the Delta Prime hack has revealed that the total amount of stolen funds could potentially increase even further.
