Number of Bitcoin Millionaires Rises by More Than 100%
A new wealth report has revealed a significant increase in the number of Bitcoin millionaires globally, with a 111% growth in the past year.
The report, titled Crypto Wealth Report 2024 from Henley and Partners, states that as of July 30 this year, there are 85,400 individuals holding over $1 million worth of Bitcoin. This represents a doubling of the number of Bitcoin millionaires from the previous year.
Additionally, the report found that the total number of individuals holding over $1 million in cryptocurrency (not just Bitcoin) has increased by 95% to 172,300.
The report also highlights an increase in the number of crypto centi-millionaires (those with over $100 million in crypto) by 79%, reaching a total of 325 individuals.
The report also notes that six new crypto billionaires were added in the past year, bringing the total number of nine-figure crypto holders to 28.
