Anchorage Adds Custody Service for Solana-based Tokens
Anchorage CEO Nathan McCauley has said the cryptocurrency bank will be providing custody services for tokens on the Solana blockchain.
The company, which is federally chartered, will be offering custody support for a few Solana-based tokens initially, catering to clients such as venture capital firms, hedge funds, and protocol treasuries.
This support for tokens that adhere to Solana’s SPL standard was added last year and built upon since the beginning of 2022.
McCauley stated that the company took its time in developing and launching custody support for SPL tokens in order to avoid moving too quickly and potentially facing issues, given the chain’s past challenges.
