Spot Ethereum ETFs Receive Final Approval and Will Start Trading Today
The final approval has been given for Spot Ether exchange-traded funds to commence trading in the United States on July 23.
The final S-1 registration statements for their launch on the Nasdaq, New York Stock Exchange, and Chicago Board Options Exchange were approved by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on July 22.
The successful issuers of the spot Ether ETFs include BlackRock, Fidelity, 21Shares, Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, VanEck, and Invesco Galaxy.
This approval comes two months after the SEC approved the 19b-4 applications on May 23, allowing a rule change that permits spot Ether ETFs to be listed and traded on their respective exchanges.
The Nasdaq will list the iShares Ethereum Trust issued by BlackRock, while the NYSE will list the Grayscale Ethereum Trust.
