Mt. Gox Trustee: Creditors May Have to Wait Up to 3 Months to Receive Their Money
According to a recent document by the trustee, it is expected that creditors of Mt. Gox may have to wait for up to three months to receive their Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash repayments, depending on which crypto exchanges they had filed their claims with.
This announcement was made in line with the rehabilitation plan, as the trustee disclosed that repayments have begun for some of the chosen crypto exchanges.
The trustee has previously explained that the time it takes for payments to become visible in creditors’ accounts may vary depending on the chosen exchanges.
For example, Kraken has been given a timeline of 90 days to process payouts, while Bitstamp may take up to 60 days. On the other hand, BitGo will have payouts visible within 20 days, and SBI VC Trade and Bitbank will both complete payouts within 14 days.
