Judge Gives Approval to Expedited Schedule for Consensys Lawsuit Against SEC
A federal judge has approved a timeline for the court to consider the merits of software firm Consensys’ lawsuit against the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and its commissioners.
The motion granted by Judge Reed O’Connor requires both parties to file briefs by September and November, with a 28-day extension for the SEC to respond to the complaint.
By July 29, all five SEC commissioners and the regulator must file answers, and reply briefs must be submitted by November 26.
Consensys’ senior counsel and director of global regulatory matters expects a ruling in December, according to a post on the social media platform X.
