Bybit Opens Registration to Chinese Users Living Abroad
On Thursday, Bybit officially announced that it will now allow Chinese expats to open accounts and trade digital assets on its service.
In a statement, the company said:
“We are pleased to expand our service offerings to the overseas Chinese community, in response to the increasing demand for secure and user-friendly crypto trading platforms among Chinese expats and international Chinese communities.”
This decision comes after reports on Wednesday indicated that Bybit had started offering registration and authentication services to users in China, despite it being a restricted jurisdiction.
According to the statement, overseas Chinese users will now be able to register and open accounts on Bybit, and will have access to the same benefits as existing users.
The company also reiterated its commitment to complying with all applicable regulations in the markets it operates in. It also expressed its intention to eventually operate in other markets, such as Hong Kong, the UAE, and the EU.
