Hong Kong ETFs Open Door to Chinese Investors
Experts in the industry believe that the recent launch of spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the Hong Kong stock market will attract Chinese investors in the future.
In an interview with Bloomberg TV, CEO of China Asset Management, Yimei Li, stated that the introduction of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs on Tuesday has created an opportunity for RMB holders to diversify their investments.
China Asset Management is one of three ETF issuers, along with Harvest Global Investments and Bosera Asset Management, that launched their crypto products on April 30 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Li expressed hope that mainland Chinese investors would be able to participate in this process once the Chinese market further opens up. She also mentioned that with the progression of opening up, there is a possibility for domestic investors to have access to a variety of assets.
