DeFi Protocol Blueberry Stops Lending Feature Due to Recent Exploit
In response to ongoing exploitation on Friday, the decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Blueberry has successfully paused its operations in order to limit damage.
According to the Blueberry Protocol Foundation’s post on February 23, the protocol was under attack and advised users to withdraw their funds from Blueberry’s lending markets while it worked on pausing the protocol as quickly as possible.
However, users also encountered difficulties in withdrawing funds due to the front end also being down.
The front end was temporarily offline with an application error message, “A client-side exception has occurred.” Approximately 30 minutes later, Blueberry announced that it had successfully paused the protocol and the website appeared to be back in operation.
Blueberry assured users that any funds deposited before the halt were no longer at risk of being exploited, but they would continue to update as more information becomes available.
