Bitcoin Volatility Hits Highest Level in 3 Months
In December, Bitcoin volatility was at its lowest point since November 2023, but in the first days of January, it began to increase again.
For the first time since April 2022, the largest cryptocurrency saw a surge above $47,000.
According to data from the Glassnode platform, BTC volatility has reached its highest level since the middle of last autumn.
This rise in value has resulted in a majority of Bitcoin holders seeing significant profits, with more than 90% of network addresses in a favorable financial position, according to analysts at IntoTheBlock.
The January rally of Bitcoin was preceded by a notable increase in whale activity, as reported by Santiment.
At the start of the month, the number of transactions worth more than $1 million hit its highest point since June 2022.
