Number of Monthly Active Solana Developers Hits 2,500
According to recent data released by the Solana Foundation, the Solana ecosystem has seen a significant increase in its number of monthly active developers, surpassing 2,500. This was highlighted in a report released on Jan. 9, which analyzed key network metrics from the previous year.
The report noted that the ecosystem has maintained a steady number of between 2,500 to 3,000 developers each month.
The report also acknowledged that this metric only includes developers contributing to public repositories.
However, data from Electric Capital’s Developer Report, which tracks blockchain development, shows a different picture.
As of Oct. 1, 2023, Solana’s developer count was only at 946, down from its peak of 2,634 on Dec. 22, 2022. Developer Report collects data from GitHub to track developer activity and updates its statistics quarterly.
