Montenegro Might Extradite Do Kwon to USA
The founder of Terraform Labs (TFL), Do Kwon, may soon be extradited to the United States, according to Montenegro Justice Minister Andrej Milovic.
The Wall Street Journal reports on this development, based on information from sources familiar with the situation. Although Milovic has not officially announced his decision, it is expected that he will wait for the outcome of Kwon’s latest appeal.
A court in Podgorica had previously approved the extradition, fulfilling requests from both South Korea and the US. Now, it will be up to the Minister of Justice to determine which country Kwon will be sent to.
However, the TFL founder will first have to serve a four-month sentence for falsifying documents before being extradited. This means that the final decision may not be made until after his release.
