JPMorgan CEO: US Should Close Down Cryptocurrencies
During a meeting with US legislators, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon emphasized the necessity for stringent regulations on digital assets.
Responding to Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s inquiry on why cryptocurrencies attract criminals, Dimon highlighted their potential for evading government controls.
Expressing longstanding opposition to cryptocurrencies, he stated, “I have always been categorically against cryptocurrencies, bitcoins, and so on. If I were the government, I would close them.”
Dimon additionally advocated for increased government oversight of stablecoins, reaffirming his critical stance on digital assets.
