Hannes Graach, former vice president of development at Revolut and previously employed at Coinbase and Spotify, is launching the Zeal crypto wallet in the first quarter of 2024 with support from Galaxy Digital, Framework, Variant Fund, and North Zone.

The startup’s valuation and amount of investments raised have not been disclosed. The main focus of Zeal is ensuring the security of user funds and enabling free transfer of USDC stablecoin to bank accounts.

Graach stated:

“The current options are not satisfactory. Existing wallets are either too complicated for average users or too risky. We need a secure and user-friendly alternative for individuals looking to interact with blockchain networks and the real world.”

Zeal plans to address existing challenges faced by users through advanced checks and transaction previews. In October, MetaMask, in collaboration with Blockaid, introduced a similar feature in their Web3 wallet browser extension.

Additionally, in November, Binance launched a competing product accessible through their mobile app.
