Survey: 9% of Adults in France Already Own Crypto
France advocates for global regulation of the cryptocurrency market, with a particular focus on DeFi protocols. In the summer of last year, the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) called for the establishment of an international monitoring system to keep track of developments in the DeFi sector.
A recent survey conducted by the AMF showed that about 9% of adults in France already own some form of cryptocurrency, with an average age of 36 years.
Among younger investors, the number of cryptocurrency holders is significantly higher, with 63% of new investors having already invested in this innovative tool.
Respondents also expressed interest in blockchain technology and the role of cryptocurrency in diversifying their investment portfolios and mitigating risks associated with volatility.
