Cathie Wood: Bitcoin Will Protect Investors from Inflation and Deflation

According to Cathie Wood, the CEO of ARK Investment Management, Bitcoin will reach $1 million by 2030 due to its increasing adoption by institutional investors.

Wood has been advocating for the US Securities and Exchange Commission to approve exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest in Bitcoin since April 2022.

She believes that the introduction of these ETFs will lead to a surge in BTC value. During a recent interview with Bloomberg, Wood also shared her prediction of deflation in the next decade.

With the growth of artificial intelligence and robotics, the cost of production of goods and services will decrease, leading to a decline in consumer prices.

In this environment, Bitcoin will be an attractive investment option due to its decentralized nature and the absence of intermediaries.

Wood also believes that Bitcoin provides protection to investors’ capital during both inflationary and deflationary periods, as it is not dependent on counterparties.

This has become even more significant in recent years with the acceleration of inflation rates.
