Trezor Wallet Users Warn About Phishing Attack
Online messages have been spreading about a recent phishing scheme targeting users of Trezor hardware crypto wallets.
The matter was recently reported to ZachXBT, a well-known cryptographer, who promptly issued a warning in his Telegram channel.
According to ZachXBT, one user had received a suspicious email to their designated email address used for ordering Trezor devices.
The account, created six months ago, suggests a possible data breach from either the wallet manufacturer or British delivery company Evri.
A similar observation was shared by a Reddit user using the name Avid28193, who speculates that the Trezor customer database may have been compromised as they have also received several emails and messages offering a “firmware update” over the past month.
In response to these reported incidents, Trezor has acknowledged the situation and is currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
