Ripple Co-founder Calls for Crypto Market Legalization in United States
In July, Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse highlighted the importance of introducing legislative regulation for digital currencies in the United States in order to promote the development of the blockchain industry.
Yet, due to oppressive SEC regulation, crypto companies are forced to relocate to other states so that they remain competitive.
Chris Larsen, Ripple Labs’ co-founder, supports this view and stated in an interview with Bloomberg that blockchain companies are now moving their operations to London, Singapore, and Dubai, resulting in a decrease in American cities as desirable regions for dApp developers.
Despite the pressure faced with US regulations, Ripple has chosen to keep their headquarters in San Francisco, hoping that US authorities will create a regulatory framework that allows the industry to fully flourish.
While the company employs a global workforce with offices in Europe and Asia, Ripple’s full operations will remain in the US, Larsen asserted.
