Poly Network Hacker Moves 1,500 ETH to Crypto Mixer Tornado Cash
Yesterday, PeckShield analysts drew attention to the movement of funds from a wallet associated with the Poly Network incident.
801 ETH and 698 ETH were sent to a new address in two separate transactions, with 1,500 ETH (~$2.5 million) then transferred to the cryptocurrency mixer known as Tornado Cash.
This crime, involving the hacking of the Poly Network protocol early in July, netted the perpetrators assets estimated to be worth $42.8 billion.
It is suspected that the hackers were able to gain control of three of the four private keys generated in the multisignature addresses of the smart contract.
