Volume of Venture Deals in Crypto Industry Dropped 71% Last Month
Data provided by aggregator RootData has revealed that venture investors participated in 83 rounds totaling $520.1 million at the end of June, representing a sharp decrease of 71.3% from the same period in 2022.
This marked the lowest amount of funding for the past 12 months. Infrastructure projects enticed venture investors the most, totaling 26 startups and $213.1 million.
The CeFi segment followed with seven rounds and $101.1 million, while nine rounds of game projects generated $62.7 million.
Stand-out deals during June included computer network project Gensyn’s fundraising of $43 million and developer of Web3 games Mythical Games’ $37 million. These figures signaled the market’s downtrend.
