Iris Energy has announced their intention to increase their Bitcoin hashrate to 9.1EH/s by early 2024, up from 5.6EH/s, which would be supported by the first 100MW data center in Childress, Texas.

They are considering further expanding the facility by an additional 100MW to satisfy the eventual needs of 13.6EH/s.

They are exploring the market for the best opportunities to purchase the necessary Antminer S19 XP ASIC miners from Bitmain.

Additionally, the company has also updated their High Performance Computing (HPC) strategy by exploring the possibility of utilizing their existing and future data centers.

With $64 million in free cash, no debt and cash flow from existing mining facilities, the company feels confident in their financial position.
